Robert Louis Stevenson was a novelist, travel writer and a poet. He is well known for his fictional character Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. But his travel books were also loved by people as well as his poems.

This book is a gothic novella. It is full of odd and peculiar concepts which actually made it one of the most beautiful and famous pieces of the English literature.

On a different note Stevenson had some very serious health issues throughout his whole life. Luckily that did not stop him from being who he is to the world.
